Our philosophy
“Amplify” means to make louder, stronger, and more powerful — and that’s exactly what we aim to do with every student. We believe your voice is more than just a tool for oral communication; it’s a way to express who you truly are. At Amplify Academy, we know that communication is a superpower, and we’re here to help every student unlock theirs.
Meet the Teacher
Hi, I’m Aaliyah Middleton, founder of Amplify Academy. I’m a passionate Speech and Drama teacher based in Lower Hutt, Wellington.
With an Advanced Diploma in Speech and Drama Performance (AASB) and Teaching (ASBT), I have a strong passion for performance and communication, which continues to shape my approach to Speech and Drama education.
I currently teach itinerant Speech and Drama lessons at St Oran’s College and Boulcott Primary School, and piano and choir lessons at Gallery Music Centre.

My journey with Speech and Drama began over 10 years ago. As a quiet, shy child, those early lessons taught me that your voice isn’t fixed; it's something you can shape, strengthen, and grow. The more you learn to use it, the more confident you become in every part of your life.
Speech and Drama opened many doors for me, from live performance opportunities to being appointed Deputy Head Girl and Head of College Council in my final year at college. These experiences shaped the way I lead, connect, and communicate with others.
Now, through Amplify Academy, I support students to discover their unique voice, build confidence, and develop the skills they need to speak clearly, perform boldly, and communicate with intention.
